Globalization
consumption is a process by which people for the whole world are incorporated
into a single world society, demand and exposed to the same needs. This is so called
as global society. In this context, people normally will adapt and adopt other
cultures while maintain their own traditional way.
Cultural
hybridization is the blending of elements from different cultures (Pieterse, 2015) . Cultural
Hybridization is occurred when
people mix traditional arts, mass communication, and popular culture in new
way.
Besides, it is also a process of enabling people
to express personal and cultural identities that are different from existing ones. Cultural hybridization is
obviously related to the issue in globalization studies.
Hybridization
is dissimilar from integration, in which interdependencies build up. Although
trends toward cultural integration and hybridization are not always positive,
it has created to a new concept of the way people life.
